Lined up on the table are two voltage sources and 5 different appliances that measure voltage. When I started putzing around with all of this about 6 months ago I already had a lot of this equipment. Garage sales, ebay, ect. I soon realized that they didn't all read the same. I am going to try and briefly described how I would try and "normalize" my ability to measure voltage with what I have before I buy a brand new modern multimeter of some sort. The sad truth is to design and build good educational or even workable projects I think trying to use these old meters is unproductive. (Kinda like buying an Ironhead because you want to ride a motorcycle.)

Don't forget to calabrate zero volts!
